Who I’ve been working with recently…
I've been very lucky recently to be working with New York recruitment start-up People in AI. Founded by Sam Jones, who has years of success and experience in the talent space of Technology, PeopleinAI.com will focus solely on talent in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science.
The site is beautiful, but like anything, looks only get you so far. I've been helping launch the business from a digital point of view, focusing on optimising the website from an SEO perspective and to rank for firstly in New York and then across America for the key terms he wants to attract people with. We've also launched a digital PR campaign, securing coverage on the likes of Yahoo Finance and Morning Star among hundreds of other outlets.
Legal Recruiter, Thornton Legal came to me after seeing their organic traffic and SEO rankings drop off a cliff after their new site went live. Again, it's a lovely looking site but there were significant elements from an SEO perspective that had been lost from the old sight and also content that had ranked previously was not included in the new site. So I set about initially getting the site optimised from an on page perspective and then concentrating on content and republishing a the pieces which had been driving so much traffic previously - the results were fantastic and almost immediate which their traffic jumping significantly and back in line with previous levels.
But we're not stopping their, based in Liverpool but with a real presence in both Leeds and Manchester, we've opened up Google My Business listings in those two cities to help improve their local rankings there. The team at Thornton are fantastic to work with and said some lovely things about myself as well...
The headline message is that we’ve been really impressed. Our SEO was a mess, and I wasn’t sure where to start to sort it out. Bold referred Tom to us, and he’s done everything we have asked and more. He’s knowledgeable, helpful, responsive and good value compared to some other SEO ‘experts’ we had discussions with. It’s still relatively early days, but Tom has made a really good progress and we’re enjoying working with him.

Owen Daniels
Owen Daniels are a specialist recruitment agency focused on the world of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Manufacturing.) They approached me ahead of their new website going live, to support on the launch of that but primarily help them to set up their HubSpot instance correctly, get workflows in place and CTAs and forms embedded across the site.
The site is now live and we’re continuing to work together on driving traffic to the site through SEO optimisation and Google Ads. They are an absolutely lovely bunch and a pleasure to work with. I was even lucky enough to be invited to play in a charity football tournament with them, which as a contractor was a nice touch!
